Repository
The Journal of the Physical Society of Indonesia (JPSI) permits authors to deposit and make available their manuscripts and published articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, preprint servers, personal websites, and other non-commercial scholarly platforms.
This policy applies to the following manuscript versions:
1. Preprint Version
A preprint is the version of the manuscript before peer review.
Authors may deposit the preprint version of their manuscript at any time, including before submission to JPSI. The preprint may be deposited in a preprint server, institutional repository, subject repository, personal website, or other non-commercial scholarly platform.
When a manuscript deposited as a preprint is later published in JPSI, authors are encouraged to update the repository record by adding the full citation, DOI, and link to the published version of record.
2. Accepted Manuscript / Postprint Version
An accepted manuscript, also known as a postprint, is the version of the manuscript that has been accepted for publication after peer review but before final copyediting, formatting, layout, and publication by JPSI.
Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript in an institutional repository, subject repository, personal website, or other non-commercial scholarly platform after acceptance.
The deposited accepted manuscript should include a statement indicating that the manuscript has been accepted for publication in JPSI. Once the article is published, authors are encouraged to update the repository record by adding the full citation, DOI, and link to the published version of record.
3. Published Version / Version of Record
The published version, also known as the version of record, is the final version of the article published by JPSI after peer review, editing, formatting, and publication.
Authors may deposit the published version of record in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and other non-commercial scholarly platforms.
The deposited published version must include proper attribution to the author(s) and to JPSI, including the article title, author name(s), journal title, volume, issue, page numbers or article number where available, DOI, and link to the official published article.
Licensing and Conditions
Published articles in JPSI are open-access works. Non-commercial use of published articles is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
Under this license, users may copy, distribute, display, perform, and adapt published articles for non-commercial purposes only, provided that proper attribution is given to the author(s) and to JPSI, and provided that such use complies with the terms of the license.
Authors retain copyright and other proprietary rights relating to their articles, including the right to reproduce the article for their own purposes and the right to self-archive the article.
No additional permission from JPSI is required for authors to deposit the preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version of record for non-commercial scholarly use, provided that proper citation and attribution are given.
If the article contains third-party copyrighted material, such as figures, tables, images, datasets, or excerpts, authors must ensure that any repository deposit complies with the permissions granted by the relevant copyright owner(s).
